Emilio Pucci Spring 2012, Milan Fashion Week

Styled to perfection.

The first gold dress is my absolute favorite. The embroidered skull is mint.

Goodbye Summer

Five days ago marked the first day of fall. I'm very excited about that, mostly because that means warm cute clothes, and also because things are supposed to start looking up for me. Late July I got a tarot card reading, she told me fall would be my season, and all her other predictions have come true as well. I'm not the biggest believer in stuff like that, but it is completely interesting. I'm excited to see what fall has to bring.

This outfit is a very good summer to fall transitional outfit. The dark floral print + the striped sweater is a good example of pattern on pattern (which I love!). Nothing says "hello fall" more than a grandpa sweater.

star print
  • My favorite textile for fall has to be star print. A modern patriotic print that screams rock n roll chic.
loafers
  • Men's wear is big for women, (blazers, chino trousers, boyfriend button downs, etc) but you don't really think of men's shoes on women. Loafers are girly with the cute grandma vibe, but have the polished boyfriend effect.
sheer wide leg pants
  • I am obsessed with these! Coming from someone who is self conscious about my legs at times, they're the perfect mix of showing off your legs and staying warm. I haven't warmed up to the upcoming flare-jean/pants trend, but I love this. It's like a more sensible maxi skirt, but still positively outrageous.
asymmetrical skirts
  • Loving asymmetrical skirts sososo much! They'd be easy to make, or diy, and are now accessible to get. The look screams fashion and will be amazing in fall with lace or knit tights.
jumpsuits
  • Jumpsuits are comfortable and cute. They're so warm and though casual, paired with a tailored blazer or a biker jacket they look amazing dressed up.
sweater dresses
  • Sweater dresses are so cute, so grunge, and so in. Warm and cute, paired with neutral leggings and combat boots looks amazing.
chambray
  • Chambray is one of my favorite fabrics. so comfortable, and very cute. I can't wait to see what new chambray styles are coming out into stores soon.
spiked flats
  • Spiked flats are personally my favorite out of the whole list. A big statement piece and they can be dressed down or dressed up. Once I find the right flats, a diy is definitely coming!

*sorry about the messiness of the post, blogspot is so hard to get pictures where you want, so I just went for a strange collage look.

Summer to Fall bag line-up

The majority of these are thrifted or I bought so long back from the stores they probably won't even have them, so I won't bother listing them this time. But for the in between fall and summer time frame, bags should be light weight and fun.

Which bag is your favorite?

Dagger Nails, Love or Hate?

Jac Vanek
I feel like I've been seeing dagger nails everywhere lately. At first, I was a little intimidated. They're sososo cute and rock n roll, but are they a little too much? Now, I'm warming up to them easily. After seeing Jac Vanek's amazing dagger nails, I fell in love. They look like bear claws. I'm still intimidated, but anxious to try dagger nails for myself. The rounded over ones are more attractive than the extreme points. I've never been a fan of fake or long nails, so I'm sure adjusting to these would be a nightmare, but they are very cute.
